Salvation, the forgiveness of our sins and reconciliation to God, is something we receive by grace through faith in Jesus. It is a gift from God, purchased by the blood of Jesus Christ and has nothing at all to do with any ability we have or works we perform. It is the first step in our faith  journey with Jesus.

The Bible gives us numerous verses regarding our need for salvation and why Jesus is the only way to receiving it.

  •  For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  John 3:16
  • I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6
  • For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23
  • If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. Romans 10:9-10

Accepting Jesus is a profound act of faith and is as simple as believing in your heart that Jesus is the only Son of God and the way to Heaven and asking Him to be your Savior and Lord over your life. If this is a step you are ready & willing to make, you can say the prayer below to receive it.

Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sin has separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please fill me with your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life.

In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

We would love to celebrate your decision to follow Jesus and provide you with some resources to help & encourage you.
