What do we believe at Pneuma Life Church?
We believe that God is eternal and that He revealed Himself as one God existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Genesis 1:1; John 1:1; Matthew 3:16-17
ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is coequal with the Father and the Son as God. He lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation and provides us with wisdom, discernment and power for the understanding of spiritual truth, guidance in daily living, and comfort in difficult times. We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is available to all believers. The Holy Spirit enables us to use spiritual gifts as enumerated in I Corinthians 12-14 and as manifested in the Early Church.
2 Corinthians 3:17; John 14:16-17, 16:7-13; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:13, 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25, Romans 8:9, 1 John 4:4; 1 Corinthians 2:13; 1 Corinthians 12-14
We believe that God has a plan and purpose for each of our lives and that He enables us by His grace to grow in love, maturity, and relationship with Him. We believe that each person will exist eternally. Whether we spend eternity with God or separated from Him is determined by our response to the grace and salvation of Jesus.
Genesis 1:27; Psalms 83:6; Isaiah 53:6; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1-2; John 3:15-16; John 2:25; Romans 6:23; 2 Peter 1:11; Revelation 20:15; Matthew 25:41, 46
ABOUT THE CHURCH
We believe that Jesus established and is building His Church. God’s plan is that all believers regularly meet together for worship, fellowship, service, and instruction in the Word of God. We believe that Jesus will come back again for the Church.
Matthew 4:18-22; Matthew 16:18; Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 1:14-20; John 1:35-51; Ephesians 3:21; Acts 8:12; Romans 12:3-8; 1 Corinthians 12:27
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man and is the only One who can reconcile us to God. His conception was immaculate and he was born to Mary without the participation of a man. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross in our place, rose again to life, and ascended to heaven.
Matthew 1:22-23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5, 14, 10-30; Hebrews 4:14-15; Romans 1:3-4; Titus 2:13, Ephesians 2:4-5, 8; Acts 4:12; Luke 24:47; Acts 16:30-32; Ephesians 1:9-12, 2:4-6; John 10:24-30; Hebrews 7:25
ABOUT THE BIBLE
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is accurate, authoritative, and applicable to our everyday lives
2 Timothy 1:13, 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Proverbs 30:5; Psalms 12:6, 119:105
We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives. We believe that we receive salvation, the forgiveness of our sins and reconciliation to God, by grace through faith in Jesus. It is a gift from God, purchased by the blood of Jesus Christ and has nothing at all to do with any ability we have or works we perform.
John 3:16; Romans 6:23; Romans 3:20-22, 24-26; Romans 8:28
We believe in water baptism for every believer. We believe that the submersion of the Christian in water is a public declaration that we are set apart for the purposes of God. Baptism is the first step of obedience for the disciple.
